2 lessons on formal letters and persuasive devices to aid pupils understanding. Both worked extremely well and enabled the pupils to understand the layout and requirements of persuasive devices and formal letters.
War poetry lesson on base details. Taught to a lower set year 9 but can be changed to suit higher abilities. <br />
Lesson went excellently, strong build up and clear development and grasp of the poem and main ideas.
<p>A lesson that tracks through Utterson’s importance to unravelling the mystery and secrecy in the novella.<br />
The lesson encourages independence as the pupils will need to find and collate evidence from chapters 1-8. Lesson comes with an extract and prepares students to answer an exam Q on Utterson.</p>

<p>A range of lessons and exam questions on the AQA A level English language and literature module The Lovely Bones. It covers a range of lessons, pages, characters, quotes and mock exam questions to help classes of all abilities. I have scanned a lot of pages and attached them for help to work in groups or further extract practice.</p>
<p>A nice themes and symbols lesson for Lord of the Flies. Taught it to all abilities and all had a clear grasp of the themes and symbols in the novel. Likewise, when completing the task for key events for each theme, all were able to see how important that theme was, and how/ why Golding foreshadows and develops the theme throughout the novel.</p>
<p>Two lessons I taught on the character Banquo in Macbeth. Tracks through the play, key scenes and ideas to effectively summarise Banquo’s importance and role in the play.</p>

A double lesson for how to plan a story based on a disastrous day. I was observed with this and achieved good to outstanding. The pupils loved the planning and nature of the lesson and produced some great story plans.
