I have used this within units on Creation stories and Our World units. I have worked with Art to create stories and Dot pictures, which the pupils really enjoyed. Presentation on background, beliefs, legends.
Used as part of an Art and RME unit as well as in an Islamic unit. The pupils enjoyed making the vedic square patterns and learning a bit about the 5 pillars. You can take the finished patterns to make a bigger one, if you are going to do that then use cardboard.
This is a lesson for S1 pupils looking at the Golden Rule. It has a short video which shows an example of treating people (or puppies) the way you want to be treated. The students should consider what it means and how it can be applied today. There are some differentiated worksheets to go with the lesson too.
Lessons looking at the history of Rastafarian and the impact of reggae music. The PPT have info and activities. You will need to look at the lyrics of some of Bob Marley's songs for the second lesson.

I have updated this resource and removed some of the questioned that might offend, though my students have always enjoyed it. They often want to pick a different option and get annoyed that I only give them two choices. It is interesting to see how they try to justify their answer.
I usually use this as an extension activity and as a way to practice reasoning skills and discussion skills. The students are encouraged to make a choice and give reasons for their view. I usually only do a few at a time. I want my classes to be able to learn how to listen to other points of view and make an argument for their own. Even though some of them are silly, they are still enhancing their skills.

This is a stand alone lesson for my S2 RME students. It looks at some of the traditions and customs of the Day of the Dead festival. There is a short video, some activities and a create your own sugar skull mask task.
I use this in a mini unit on Art and Religion for S2 pupils. There is a focus on Celtic Art and Stained Glass.
I used a simple Arch template for the stained glass activity.
This is for S1 pupils and looks at what makes a friend and how can friendships start. It includes group and individual tasks. There is also a short clip looking at friendship.
I use this mini unit with my S1 RME pupils. It looks at the different ways that humans create and use spaces for reflection. The lessons focus on Christian marks, Ancient marks and some created by modern artists. The pupils then have to create their own reflective space. I got a lot of models, a minecraft space and some great descriptive posters.
