Quizzes on each of the staves to aid revision of the plot. Could be used as a 'Dash' activity, where the students get into teams. One of them is the runner. The runner collects a question at a time from the quiz master; they take it to their team to work out the answer; the runner takes the answer to the quiz master who gives out the next question. The winning team is obviously the first to finish. OR you could simply hand out the quiz on sheets to individual students.
The PowerPoint covers the theme of poverty and has a wide range of quotations for the students to match to various bullet points in relation to the theme. The task is designed as a physical activity: Quotes can be stuck around the room for students to retrieve. A good kinaesthetic activity.
Key quotes for revision.

Two narratives written as models for a KS3 writing assessment. They have all of the key features of a narrative for the students to highlight and label with a focus on literary techniques, story structure, punctuation and sentence types used for particular effects. These could also be used for KS4. The PowerPoint includes opportunities for students to plan their own narrative using picture prompts and vocab lists to help.

I holepunched the flashcards in the left hand top corner and joined them together with string. The students can then flip through the cards memorising the quotes. This should help a lot of the students provide the evidence to back up their answers.
