Photography GCSE Unit: 'Movement' Unit of Work
Here are 10 sequenced double lessons based on the theme of ‘Movement’ that explore a range of photographer’s work which leads to the development of personal ideas and final ideas
Each lesson is for approximately 100 to 120mins and contains:
Engaging starter- with a range of questions to respond to,
Clear objectives, scaffolded tasks and extension activities
Clearly sequenced tasks with examples of work in progress and finished pieces
Plenary - range of questions linked to prior learning
There is a strong emphasis on researching and responding to photographers to record ideas - the key photographers and artists include:
Slow shutter speed photography -Anton Bragaglia, Micheal Bosanko
Fast shutter speed photography - Eadweard Muybridge, Lois Greenfield
You will have to some understanding of Photoshop to a beginner’s level deliver this scheme. Editing is done in Photoshop or Photopea.com then screen shots saved into Powerpoint.
They will save you hours and hours of plannning and have lead to very positive outcomes for all my photography students.
The lessons all contain additional tasks for classwork and homework
