In response to many using the language techniques and devices resource, I saw the need for structure techniques too!
I use this resource with all of my students and it really works! In no time, all of my students know all 18 structure devices off by heart and can comment on their purpose and effect.
I don't want to teach you how to suck eggs but this is how I use them.
Cut and Stick activity.
1. Fold and glue along the heading the tabs
2. Match with the definitions and the purpose & effects - stick these underneath each tab.
Valuable tool to use in the classroom to teach the techniques, use as a revision tool and/or use as a checklist for creative writing.
