This is a Powerpoint presentation of 11 slides and is no. 1 in a series of 60-minute lessons used by me to tutor a GCSE student via Zoom. The focus of each lesson is grammatical, rather than topic specific, and as such they can be slotted into topic work as required. In addition, each lesson attempts to extend the use of German to match the requirements of GCSE Higher Tier.
This presentation explains and practises verbs in the present tense, including both weak and strong, ‘haben’ and ‘sein’, but not modals verbs. There are grammatical drills and a translation at the end, which adds the adverb ‘(nicht) gern’ to express (dis)likes.
