This lesson follows on from the first lesson on family. It introduces and explains the structure of “у меня” including the genitive pronouns. It further reinforces the vocabulary and structures learnt in the previous lesson.Also included is an introduction to numbers and their related cases which will link to the next lesson sequence on age. Activities include games, reading activites, translations, writing and grammar practice activities. Relevant challenge activities are included as well as a vocab learning homework on the final slide.

Russian Family Lesson Sequence
This lesson bundle contains two lessons covering family and the genitive singular. As well as introducing family members, these lessons introduce and explain the genitive singular endings, genitive pronouns and the "у меня есть" structure used to express the verb "have". In teaching the genitive singular an initial introduction to its use as a plural for counted nouns is also given. These lessons are ideal for beginner learners of Russian as a first exposure to the genitive case.
