This is a Powerpoint presentation of 9 slides and is no.11 in a series of 60-minute lessons used by me to tutor a GCSE student via Zoom. The focus of each lesson is grammatical, rather than topic specific, and as such they can be slotted into topic work as required. In addition, each lesson attempts to extend the use of German to match the requirements of GCSE Higher Tier.
This presentation explains how to use two verbs in a sentence where the second is the infinitive form and preceded by ‘zu’. Along with a clear grammatical explanation, there are two slides for oral practice while playing Tic Tac Toe, as well as a list of such verbs, a sentence-building table and translation practice.
