Power point:
The high end, attractive and informative power point has detailed instructions and notes, step-by-step animations, with starter, main and plenary activities, as well as home learning included.
A lesson plan is also included (MS Publisher file).

There will be three challenging tasks in this lesson, including a Task analysis, initial ideas page and a final idea page where students can make a clock

Learning Outcomes:

In this lesson, students will gain an understanding of:

• How to read, understand and respond to a design brief for a specific client
• How to use a spider diagram/mind map as a tool for analysis
• How designers use mascots to promote products
• How to use mascots as part of a design to make it more attractive
• How to develop, design, annotate and make an educational device to help younger children tell the time.
• There will be lots of literacy in this lesson!

Worksheets:
The worksheets are differentiated into two categories:

• ‘LA’ worksheets having additional support in terms of the outcomes as well as sentence stems, word banks, etc.
• The second category of worksheet has differentiation in the form of more open ended tasks as well as ‘Super Challenges’.
