I am an experienced primary teacher who has a particular interest in English skills. I have been a literacy coordinator for ten years and a reading lead for two. I have a sound understanding of grammar and punctuation. I include resources that help explain grammatical rules. I have written many plays over the years and I have included scripts useful for class assemblies or complete end of year shows. There are also example texts ideal for modelling or comprehensions. ALL TRIED AND TESTED!

This resource contains clear steps on how to hold a simple but effective class debate for Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils. The featured proposition is ‘All education should be delivered remotely’. The resource pack includes a lesson plan with hint cards for and against and the features of a balanced written argument. There are further lesson ideas and statements to be debated. The plan involves the whole class and develops speaking and listening skills as well as team work and critical thinking. It is an excellent way to evaluate the impact of remote home learning and develop public speaking skills. This resource is suitable for pupils in Year 5 to 7 ideally. They are editable Microsoft Word documents.
