This is a lesson and PowerPoint that explains magnitude of stars, the link between apparent and absolute magnitude, luminosity, the Hipparcos scale, parallax calculations and the Stephen-Boltzmann formula.

This is an 18 page PowerPoint together with detailed lesson plan and experiment idea - enough work to cover two lessons.

As well as supporting A-Level Physics for many exam boards this lesson is also part of a chapter that covers the optional astrophysics unit 9 for AQA

Poor, rehash of someone else's PowerPoint and no experiment at all; as in not any useful or useable details of any experiment in the PowerPoint or the lessonplan. The claim that there is detail is not even an exaggeration, it is a falsehood. I would like my money back.
