Up for a challenge?
Just print out the game
1. You’ll need a 1 minute timer and a quiet room.
2 Tell your child that you’re going to practise the words for 10 mins and then ask him/her to give as many correct answers they can in one minute - without missing any out.
3. Start the timer and after one minute, write their score on the back.
4 Do this once every day for a week .
Don’t worry if the score is only 6 on the first night - aim for 8 on the next and so on.
At the end of the week, prepare to be amazed!
Remember to keep each session brief, light-hearted and most importantly – give lots of praise for effort.
Have fun!!!
(You could always have a family contest…If you're brave enough ! )
