Lesson Description:
In this challenge students must play a 1-on-1 Hockey Face-Off and try to get as close to the goal as possible. This will require students to develop a more complex program using the ultrasonic sensor and color sensor.
Learning Goals:
Students learn to measure distance and angles to make more precise turns. Also students learn to use a combination of sensors to avoid objects.
Success Criteria:
• Team works together to build a functional robot
• Team's robot can avoid the other team’s robot
• Team can program using multiple sensors
• Team can make it near the goal
• Team is able to score a goal
Resources and Materials:
EV3 Kits
Student Laptops/Computers
Electrical Tape (to create the hockey rink) Duplo or other Objects for puck
