This PowerPoint offers examples of each AFOREST technique, presenting each on a tree that ‘grows’ to help children remember the mnemonic in a colourful, engaging way. The sheet links visually and can be used to practise each technique. Originally designed for a year 3 ‘house selling’ exercise, but both the PowerPoint and activity can be modified to suit other year groups or other persuasive writing tasks.
