Thank you fantastic
Thanks for this resource. I will be adapting this for my year 7 classes but you have collected together the most useful quotations.
this is a good introduction to the central concept of love in the Gospels..
It could be expanded to include more texts such as 'God is Love'. What would make it an even stronger resource would be to have some AT2 questions to follow this. .
Where do we see love in the world - and the need for it? .
Is charity love in action? Give arguments both for and against this. .
What is your own experience of real love, forgiveness, unconditional acceptance etc. - and what is your experience of the opposite?.
Why may people make an effort to be loving and forgiving? What may make people behave in an unloving way? .
think of bullies. when have you been bullied and when have you acted in a bullying way - and what made you do that? (most people have been bullies - and most people have suffered from bullying.).
Where do you see the need for this?.
How could we best make real unconditional love stronger in our class, school, family, community - etc.
What injustices and fears are you aware of that may be preventing the growth of agape - unconditional love?
There are endless such questions that you might discuss here.
