Aladdin reading comprehension 6 week unit

Based on Philip Pullman’s Aladdin version, a series of 6 lessons looking at different extracts (in chronological order) and answering a series of comprehension questions focusing on clarification, inference, author’s choice and providing evidence with answers. The lessons follow a structure (outlined in the document) that encourages more discussion around answers rather than just giving children a text and them answering questions independently.
There is a document with suggested answers though you may be surprised some of the things the children come up with for ‘what do you think’ questions.
