These sheets can be applied to any moving image text and is a fun way to establish or reinforce textual analysis sentence structure. To enable differentiation the task can be repeated with multiple text or could be completed with or without notes to strengthen exam skills.

• Watch the moving image excerpt and make notes on the ‘Deconstructing a text - terminology’ grid handout
• Work in pairs, against another pair to complete 9 examples, the winner will achieve the highest score by constructing the most effective Textual analysis - TERM / EXAMPLE / ANALYSIS sentences, for exam questions. A snakes and ladders board with counters or a tally sheet can be used for scoring
• On your turn roll the dice to see what example you need to give for either film 1 or 2 - Mise en scene / 3 or 4 - Sound / 5 or 6 - Cinematography & Editing

This resource can be used in lessons, ONLINE, REMOTE, VIRTUAL, HOME, LEARNING or as HOMEWORK. It can be digitally sent to students as a PDF or printed and used within a lesson.
