Use the sheet to help pupils understand where to place apostrophes for singular and plural nouns(irregular and regular). First get the children to classify nouns into 3 groups, on smartboard. then use diagram under box and on the helpsheet to discuss basic rules. Children write the Hungry Caterpillar story - on Monday he ate one girl's apple. On Tuesday he ate two boys&' oranges. On Wednesday he ate three ladies&'; handbags etc. to prove they understand the rules.
