This resource relates to counting apples on a tens frame and on apple trees. Counting is from 0 to 20 and students write numerals and/or number words to give their answers. There are worksheets to complete and practical matching activities to do.

Worksheets (differentiated):
- 1st Set of worksheets: Students write how many apples on the tens frame using numerals and then tick the apple tree that matches the number of apples.
- 2nd Set of worksheets: Students write how many apples on the tens frame using number words and then tick the matching apple tree.
Suggested practical activities and you can also prepare cut/paste activity using colour or black and white cards.
There are two sets of task cards which you can laminate and cut apart and students can match the correct number of apples on the tree to the tens frame and double tens frame.
