A booklet of ten texts (five pairs of nineteenth and twentieth/twenty first century) designed to support pupils in the development of Paper Two skills.
The text pairings revolve around the broad theme of 'Heroes and Villains' within the context of
1) Exploration and Adventure;
2) Crime and Punishment;
3) Gender Equality;
4) Encounters with the Natural World;
5) Health and Medicine.
We used this with Year 7 across all sets, however, the texts would offer an appropriate level of challenge for all years, including GCSE revision for lower ability sets.
