AQA Entry Level 1 Maths - Addition

This resource has been designed for students working towards the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Maths who are working at Entry Level 1. It contains an age-appropriate,100-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 34-page workbook on addition - Component 2: the four operations.

These resources will help pupils to achieve these learning outcomes:

add two whole numbers with a total up to 20
use addition to solve simple real-life number problems
understand the key words add, sum, total and altogether.

PowerPoint Lesson

The editable PowerPoint lesson provides many opportunities for the pupils to acquire, develop and apply their addition skills to 20. It also contains links to several short videos on addition to 20, symbols and sample exam questions. It is an ideal resource to introduce pupils to the addition component of the AQA Entry Level 1 specification and for revision purposes.

Workbook

The 34-page workbook includes 6 explanation pages, 26 worksheets (with answers), one progress check and a certificate of achievement.
