AQA GCSE Biology: Monoclonal antibodies – production & uses

This is an annotated and narrated powerpoint presentation for GCSE Biology to help next year’s Year 11 students catch up after Covid19. It covers the production of monoclonal antibodies and their consequent high specificity before moving on to their uses as diagnostics, in laboratories to measure concentrations of molecules in a sample and to localise molecules in cells, as well as their uses in medicine, focusing on Herceptin. There are 8 multiple choice questions and a RAG sheet, to assess knowledge and understanding. It can be used without the narration in class and with it for revision purposes and is fully editable.
