This revision resource is designed for AQA GCSE Triple Science Biology revision 9-1 but is equally suitable for other boards. This is a ‘Retrospective Revision Timetable’ I created for students to aid revision. It works as a PLC/ Checklist across. It covers all topics in the Triple Science Biology specification to help your students revise.
Each topic is broken down into manageable tasks to aid revision and RAG rate learning and revision by date and colour. The use of a ‘Retrospective Revision Timetable’ has been proven a successful revision technique by Cambridge Doctors studying medicine. Once a student has revised one task they should then colour in the box next to it Red and date it. When this topic is revised again to check for learning, it should be dated and coloured Amber. When a student feels confident in that topic and can answer an exam style question on it then they should colour the box in Green and date it. Eventually all the boxes going across will become green if revised succesfully. It allows students to visually track revision.
The Excel document also breaks the topics according to which exam paper they appear on and awarding marks so students can clearly identify all topics easily.
Topics include; Cell Biology, Organisation, Infection & Response, Bioenergetics, Homeostasis & Response, Inheritance Variation & Evolution and Ecology. The Higher Tier is highlighted in yellow and Required Practicals in purple.
GCSE Triple Chemistry & Physics are also available to purchase.
