Area + Perimeter 6 Lessons - Smartboard - KS2

A lesson sequence of 6 full lessons on area and perimeter, and 2 supplementary lessons (one on measurement basics and one practical perimeter). This lesson sequence has differentiated worksheets to go with it which are available on TES.
The worksheet included in this particular purchase is for the practical perimeter lesson, just to save you time.

These lessons work progressively through perimeter from basic rectangles to composite rectilinear shapes to word problems, then progressively through area in the same fashion, with the last lesson on the relationship between area and perimeter (word problems).

These lessons aim to break up each part of finding area and perimeter so that it is clear, simple and with activities that will help build understanding. They generally go through any vocabulary/concept understanding then showing an example of application, having students try for themselves, then a worksheet.
The Notebook slides are fully editable, so that you can use this as a basis for your own lessons and add to it.

I recommend reading through the lessons before teaching them as there are certain pieces of equipment you may need for some of the lessons.
