Students to do their own research into the life and career of an author of their choice. This will involve doing an in-depth analysis of a novel and a new chapter of a novel. They will need to include evidence of research and sources as well as prepare a presentation to the class.
There is also a booklet for them to fill in with all their findings.
They will be assessed on all the four criteria of the MYP Language and Literacy curriculum and it is easilty adaptable for Language Acquisition. I have done the unit with grade 7, but it should be fine with other grades.
