This booklet is filled with cute, baby animal pictures. It is informative; it contains the name of each baby animal, and it also contains sight word sentences. To prep, fold the pages in half, cut the pages into two parts; trim. Next, staple the corner of the pages. When putting the book together, the page with words goes first, and the page with the picture that matches the word goes next. After the books are prepped, give the books to the children, and read along with them.
The booklet includes the sight words I, see, the. You may allow the children to circle the sight words as they read along with you. As an alternative, you may allow children to use the code provided to help them mark the sight words.
The booklet also includes UK spelling of the word favourite. There is a “My favourite baby animal is___.” page. Ask the children what their favourite baby animal is; write their answer on the line.
