Welcome… Teach the basics of file and folder management which is often overlooked in computing classes. Show how to create and name files, recognise different file types and how software interacts with them along with finding files. There is a starter activity and the lesson contains 4 short tasks that can be completed within an hour. The illustrations are based on Windows 10, but you could substitute your own file system images if you like. Teacher notes are included in the comments for each slide along with extension ideas to challenge students.
