A KS3 History lesson focused on the interwar period.
Students will look at unemployment due to the Great Depression; a number of sources/opinions from the time will be shared with the students in order for them to understand the far-reaching impact of the economic downturn.
The Jarrow March, the car industry and far-right politics are also looked at throughout the lesson.
I would aim to teach this lesson across two hours, allowing students to answer the questions carefully.
