This resource has been designed to give a gentle introduction of the BTEC course to Year 10 learners. By the end of the lesson they will be able to understand what is meant by PIES (physical, intellectual, emotional and social) development which underpins all topics covered within the course. The lesson then goes on to briefly explain the content of the course, then introduces the life stages and the difference between growth and development.
