A stand alone resource that students can use without prior knowledge of buoyancy.

Contents
The resource starts with revision of Newton 1 which then links to the basic idea of buoyancy. This is followed by and online lab (PhET - it could be turned into a ´real´ lab) to explore the concept in more depth with extension questions to finish.
Two versions of the worksheet are included - one focused on mass, the other on weight. Answers for both are included.

Lesson Tips
This represents about 90 minutes of work. I tend to use the mass version of the worksheet (its a little simpler than the weight version) and get the class to work in groups of 2 or 3 for one lesson.
I then have a a follow up lesson where we link to weight and forces and finish with the extension questions.
