so, whilst at my wits end with my yr 10 business french class (who despise anything to do with French!), with whom I am following the Asset Language course, i decided to make lessons a bit more fun whilst still teaching them important and necessary vocab.
the project covers 5 - 6 weeks and the task is to design, make and market a product to sell in France. (im still working on it and will add resources as I go along but here's som stuff to get going!)
lesson 1 - watch the dragon's den yoodoo doll (youtube) and do computer research answering questions on the french market
lesson 2 - order products required to make product on the phone learning all relevant phone vocab
lesson 3 - teach all professions and what jobs entail - pupils to then conduct a job interview to employ the most suitable person to help with making the product
lesson 4 - market product using all relevant info - design publicity in French, packaging, logo, etc
lesson 5 - make product (a fun lesson) - i plan on collecting bits and bobs for them to make model product with!
lesson 6 - present product in French as if on Dragon's Den
