Carrie's War Scheme of Work

B and D Publishing’s KS3 scheme of work on Carrie’s War by Nina Bawden. The resource pack includes notes on the text, worksheets and oral and written assignments suitable for key stage 3 pupils. The workbook can also be used by pupils for revision, homework and home learning.

It is 1939. England and Germany are at war. London is being bombed and parents are being urged to send their children out into the country away from the bombing. Eleven year old Carrie and her nine year old brother Nick are evacuated to a small mining village in Wales. Here they encounter a way of life that at first is strange to them.
