This presentation takes a brief look through how the idea of an atom developed over time and uses The Atoms Family ( a set of 3 cartoons I drew to represent the proton, electron and neutron) and helps students remember the properties of each subatomic particle. Penny the proton is positive, Ned the neutron is neutral and Elvis the electron is nEgative ( alliteration!)
