A resource to help celebrate Diwali.
Page 1 of the resource shows 10 small pictures of patterns that can be used in various ways:
- To make a Rangoli - children can look up the meaning of a rangoli
- For tracing over / colouring in or duplicated for matching
Page 2 Shows an example of how some of the pictures on sheet 1 can be used to make a Rangoli. There is a blank circle for children to try recreating the Rangoli pattern or for them to make up their own pattern.
Pages 3 to 12 show the small pictures from page 1 enlarged. There is one picture per page.
Children can use these in different ways:
- Tracing
- Colouring with felt pens, crayons, paint or pencils
- Adding coloured sand to make patterns
- Adding coloured glitter or glitter glue to make patterns
- Enlarge for group work
