Two student guiding graphic organizer fold out foldables. The first focuses on the cell cycle and mitosis. The second focuses on meiosis. There is also a free venn diagram included to help students organize their thoughts on the differences between mitosis and meiosis. Teacher keys for both foldables included.

Cell Cycle and Mitosis Graphic Organizer:

The foldable covers cell cycle, G0, G1, S, G2, and mitosis in both animal and plant cells. There are note taking areas for how mitosis is the driving force behind growth, development, regeneration and asexual reproduction. The foldable also covers tumors both benign and malignant (cancer).

Meiosis Graphic Organizer:

This graphic organizer fold out foldable first prompts the students to define vocabulary specific to meiosis. Next the students go over crossing over using terms such as sister chromatids, homologous chromosomes, synapsis, tetrad, chiasmata. If you teach AP Biology it is great for review.

The detailed meiotic steps also discuss what is happening with the quantity of genetic material and each phase of meiosis is detailed.
