Maths Christmas Pirates game END OF TERM FUN!!!
I take no credit for the original idea of Maths pirates. I have just taken the idea and produced a ready made ppt ready to go, all based around Christmas ideas.

This is a class activity. everyone gets a random grid from the generator.
Students then fill in the remaining empty squares with pics/words on the ppt slide.
you then reveal a square at a time, if student lands on a number they just write it down and must keep a running total of present throughout the game. If student land on an “action” square, they hold their hand up and you ask them what the action is and then carry out the action. If student lands on Santas grotto, any accumulated presents at that point are put in here and are safe till to end. They cannot be stolen or wiped out once in santas grotto. If they land on Mirrior or shiled , they tick the relevant box to show they have landed on it and now have it to use. A Mirror reflects the bad and can only be used once (they have to get it first!) and a Shield stops bad actions against them, can only be used once and must be crossed off once used. If a student lands on “wipe a row out” then the whole loses their running total present score (santas grotto presents are safe) The row can defend the action if they really want to, this happens if 2 different students work together to use one mirror and one shield. (must be one of each)
The chance cards are to be printed before game , possibly laminated, if a student lands on chance card they take the top card. Hopefully this game brings some fun to your class in this format, leave a message if you require any help with it or if you just want to say you enjoyed playing it. Thank you
