In this resource, children will learn about the importance of honey bees before being introduced to Colony Collapse Disorder. Children will then write a persuasive text using modal verbs and Point, Evidence, Explain either persuading their audience to end Colony Collapse Disorder.

In the past, I have introduced this outcome by teaching lessons on three consecutive days in the styles of Authoritarianism, Democracy, and Communism. The children then write their persuasive text in one of these styles.
