This resource on comparative adjectives is suitable for children from year 3 on and includes a ready-made, colourful display (with an explanation and examples for each rule), the same display designed to fit our favourite Scandinavian furniture shop’s standing picture frame , as well as clearly laid out worksheets on the following rules:

  • More/less and most/least
  • Dropping the -e
  • Doubling the final consonant
  • Changing -y to -i
  • All rules mixed up

Each worksheet outlines the specific rule once again. This is then followed by:

  1. Write the missing words in the boxes.
  2. Using the right forms, write the words in brackets on the lines to complete the sentences.
  3. Choose given words to write your own sentences.

ENJOY!
