Comparing FDP of Amounts - I Would Rather.... Starter

I used this as a whiteboard starter activity with a Year 9 middle attainment set. Students are given five scenarios - in each scenario they must choose whether they would prefer one of two options. Students are required to compare fractions, decimals or percentages of different amounts in each case.

This activity was useful for assessing student recall of the topic from Year 8 and helped to shape what revision needed to be done in the introductory lesson of the topic.
