Conservation Fact File 9 - Grey Partridge

Grey Partridge were the most abundant ground nesting bird in England. However, over the last 70 years the grey partridge population has dramatically declined, by at least 80% throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Consequently, the grey partridge is on the birds of conservation concern red list, ie a most endangered species.

This video will examine the factors affecting their decline in numbers and look at how we can help these beautiful birds survive.

Aimed at Key stage 3,4 & 5, 11-18 year old children the video is accompanied by classroom worksheets to help reinforce the learning and ignite the interest of students in the ways in which we can all help keep the balance in our countryside.
