This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard PK.N.2.4, in which students will learn to count up to five objects that are scattered rather than in a linear formation. The sheets in part one are for you to teach the lesson. Begin by counting objects aloud to your class. Count loud and clear as you point to each object individually. When you feel like your students are ready, allow them to count themselves. The sheets in part two are for you to individually assess your students. During this assessment, have each student count the number of objects on each sheet.
