Designed as an introductory scheme of learning to CAD/CAM and laser cutting pupils, this 6 hour scheme of learning has everything you need to design and make a professional quality clock. Pupils will be able to independently use Techsoft 2D desgin to create tool path that can be used to laser cut a clock. Using Quartz clock mechanisms pupils will then learn how to write an advert and retail their clocks to a target audience. With all handouts, instructions and step-by-step guidance to ensure success and progress in all pupils this unit of work has been designed to be delivered within a single term. Editable files available upon request. I have taught this project numerous times to great success and pupils enjoy the design process
