Differentiated Mini Mock: AQA Lang Paper 2

I created these two lessons for my set five, year nine class to prepare them for their end of year ‘Language Paper 2’ (AQA) assessment. The mini mock walks the students through how to answer each question and gives them top tips, whilst the presentation provides sentence starters and model responses to help students formulate their own ideas. The extracts have been shortened and the language is more accessible for the lower ability classes.

The extracts focus on ‘The life of a Prisoner’ and the students really engaged with this topic. It stimulated some interesting whole class discussion and I was able to use the topic as a focus for their section B extended writing task.
