These differentiated word searches were created as a tutor time activity for Y8 students. They were made with expanding vocabulary in mind. They would suit a wide range of ages.
The searches in each set have the same word list and, superficially, look similar. They are differentiated by making the words progressively more difficult to find. The Bronze searches have all the words running left to right and are consequently very easy. Silver searches introduce vertical words; gold searches have diagonal words; diamond and, hardest of all, jadite have words going every which way. Some difficulty levels have two searches (e.g. SILVER1 and SILVER2) that are different but of equal difficulty.
