Discussion Writing - Independent Writing Task

An independent written task that gives children a written stimuli to then be able to write a discussion text. Included is a look at key features of a discussion text, examples of layout and examples of logical conjunctions and modal verbs that children can then use. Within the pack are peer-marking codes, a self-assessment grid and language sheet to help children with their written task.

With the editing and redrafting process there is enough here to run a few lessons of independent writing.
