This 49 page document, which as been approved by specialist SEND teachers, supports the adult in understanding and managing EBSA (Emotional Based School Avoidance) in children. It is designed to be worked through in the order set, however it can be used flexibly and offers a helpful contents page to do so. Each day is a new learning session, designed to be around 20 minutes long. The learning sequence can be delivered by both a parent or school professional. The work book starts with a handy planner section to help monitor progress towards completion. The workbook is based on evidence based learning, including a CBT based approach. Pages are interactive and offer activties to be completed by the adult and child, for example, making a ‘thought remote’ to turn the volume down on negative automatic thoughts.
