This lesson focusses on the causes of the Salem witch trials, and uses source work and group work with pupils.
Pupils start with a creating a comic strip, teachers either need to give pupils access to the internet, or create the handout from the website suggested (easy).
Pupils then work on some source analysis to identify key factors of causation in Salem, before pupils work as ambassadors to teach each other.
The lesson ends with pupils considering a hierarchy of significance between the different factors and a class discussion.
