This is an approximately 6 week SOW for the Edexcel spec of the new English Literature GCSE for first examination in 2017. It is designed so that each powerpoint is about 2 lessons and I taught Year 10 in double lessons last year. It allows students to read through the whole play while working on context, themes, characters and analysing language. It would work for any exam board but just look out for mark schemes etc that are specific to Edexcel.
The first lesson is called 'revision' because the class had done a 'basic' intro to Romeo and Juliet in Year 9. Hopefully it will be a timesaver for people.
