Electricity (a fake government letter to link Literacy and Science)

This resource is designed to link learning in Science and Literacy in Year 4 as pupils are expected to read the fake government letter provided. This will need editing based on your locality. Pupils are required to consider life without electricity and then record a reply letter for Mr. Malcolm Parks to convince and persuade him to not take the electricity from their local village/area.

I have used this for 3 years now and always receive fabulous feedback from parents who feel this is a creative way to cover cross-curricular activities as well as getting children engaged and therefore making learning more meaningful.
