Employability - What Employers are Looking For

This lesson is about what skills employers are looking for and considers the difference between ‘hard skills’ and ‘soft skills’. It has a video to watch; activities; a skills assessment and an end of lesson 3 question quiz. Students will begin to think about their own skills, too, and how to develop them. An ideal lesson for individual, coupled and group work. Access to the Internet is ideal, whether on personal devices or on classroom computers. I hope you and your students enjoy the lesson - it can be delivered in one or two hours, depending on how long you wish to allow students to spend on research activities.
